Our Services
"Comprehensive..."
One critical aspect in medical imaging is quality,
which is engrained in what we do for each patient, every day.
At MDI, we have worked with insurance providers, public
policy representatives and other health care organizations
to define concrete, measurable indicators of quality in diagnostic
imaging.
In general, these quality indicators for diagnostic imaging
fall into several categories: patient privacy and safety;
customer service; physician expertise; trained staff and performance; quality and advanced technology. MDI is committed to providing exceptional diagnostic imaging.
Modern Diagnostic
Imaging provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging
services, including:

|
Computed
Tomography (CT) is a highly sensitive imaging
technique used to view internal anatomy. CT generates
thin slice images through the body to diagnose diseases
that cannot be seen on conventional X-rays. CT technology
is known for its speed and high-resolution capabilities
and is established as a safe and efficient diagnostic
tool.

Dual
Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) is a method
of Bone Mineral Density Assessment commonly used to
diagnose men and women with osteoporosis.

Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses radio waves and
a strong magnetic field to provide detailed pictures
of internal organs and tissues. Using specialized equipment,
MRI generates high resolution images that have the ability
to identify many diseases in the brain, spine, musculoskeletal
system and abdominal and pelvic organs. MRI is the most
advanced diagnostic imaging tool in the evaluation of
many medical conditions.

PET/CT is a safe and non-invasive
imaging procedure that adds an important new dimension
to a physician's ability to diagnose and manage disease.
Instead of detecting changes in the physical size or
structure of lesions, PET/CT detects changes in cellular
funtion by showing metabolic uptake. Since these functional
changes usually take place before any physical changes
can occur. PET/CT can provide information that enables
physicians to make an earlier diagnosis. Early and accurate
detection of a disease can increase the effectiveness
of treatment and avoid costly and invasive procedures.

Ultrasound
is a non-invasive, painless procedure that utilizes
sound waves to image various parts of the body. Exams include; abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical,
thyroid, vascular, cardiac, and testicular studies.
